My Name is Deu Bahadur and I was born 1970 in Chitre, a small village in the Mountains near Pokhara. For 10 years I visited school in my home town and then came to Pokhara to study two years at the Prithvi Narayan College in Humanities and Social Science (Proficiency certificate Level). I am married and I have four children, three girls and one boy.
In 1992, I started with Trekking parallel to two further years of studying (same course, Bachelor level). At first, I worked as a porter, but in 2000 I made a Trekking Guide Course in Pokhara and Kathmandu at the "Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management" with a special certificate from february 2000.
Today I still live in Pokhara with my spouse and my four children which all are going to school. Since 2012, my wife and I run a small guesthouse where you can not only stay for the night, you also can eat with us and take part in everydays live of a typical nepali family.
