EQUIPMENT

Most trekkers bring their equipment with them from home, but it's also possible to rent or buy gear in Nepal. I can assist you finding the best shops. Some very good new and used equipment is available here. But it's better to bring good shoes with you that you are used to. And it's difficult to find socks elsewhere in Nepal.

It depends on the trek, the altitude and the season what you have to carry with you. In winter and especially on high altitude treks over 4000 m you will need warm clothes and sleeping bag.

PACKING LIST

You don't need everything on the packing list, so do not rush out and buy everything on this list. It works for many trekkers, but you may decide many items in this list are unnecessary.
